Discover the stunning beauty and cultural richness of Lake Titicaca on this full-day tour to the Uros Floating Islands and Taquile Island. This journey allows you to explore the ancestral traditions of two of the most iconic communities in the Peruvian highlands, all set against the majestic backdrop of the highest navigable lake in the world (3,812 meters above sea level).
Visit the artificial reed islands of Uros, built entirely from totora reeds, and learn how the Uros people have adapted to life on water for centuries. Then, continue to the island of Taquile, famous for its preserved Inca traditions, hand-woven textiles, and spectacular lake views. This tour is ideal for travelers looking to combine nature, history, and authentic local interaction in just one day.

07:00 AM – Pick-up from your hotel in Puno and transfer to the main port. We board a motorboat heading toward the Uros Floating Islands.
After about 30 minutes, we arrive at Uros, where you’ll visit several reed islands and learn about their construction, lifestyle, fishing techniques, and daily life. Optional reed boat rides are available (not included).
We then continue our journey across the deep blue waters of Lake Titicaca toward Taquile Island, arriving after approximately 1.5 hours.
Upon arrival at Taquile, we begin a short uphill walk to reach the main village, where locals will welcome us and share their ancient customs, traditional weaving techniques (recognized by UNESCO), and communal lifestyle.
Lunch is served in a local family home, featuring delicious local dishes (typically quinoa soup and trout or omelet with rice).
After some time for photos and relaxation, we descend to the port and return to Puno by boat.
Arrival in Puno at approximately 5:00 PM and transfer back to your hotel.
