Get ready for an adrenaline-filled cultural adventure through the Sacred Valley with the Maras and Moray ATV tour. This full-day experience combines off-road fun with visits to two of Cusco’s most unique and photogenic sites: the circular Inca terraces of Moray and the spectacular salt mines of Maras. Ideal for thrill-seekers and curious travelers, this tour offers a dynamic mix of history, nature, and highland landscapes — all while riding your own four-wheeler.

Your adventure starts around 7:00 a.m. with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco. From there, we head to the small town of Cruzpata, located in the heart of the Sacred Valley, where your ATV briefing and safety instructions will take place. Once everyone is equipped and comfortable with the quads, we’ll hit the dirt roads that lead us through breathtaking Andean scenery. The first major stop is Moray, a mysterious archaeological site composed of concentric circular terraces believed to have been used by the Incas for agricultural experimentation. After exploring Moray, we continue riding to Maras, home to over 3,000 salt evaporation ponds carved into the mountainside. The landscape here is truly one-of-a-kind and offers incredible photo opportunities. After the visit, we return to Cruzpata by ATV, then head back to Cusco by vehicle. The tour ends around 2:00 p.m., giving you the afternoon free to relax or explore more of the city.

Tips
No previous ATV experience is required — just a sense of adventure! A valid driver’s license is not mandatory for the ATV but you should feel comfortable driving. If you’re traveling in the dry season (May–October), expect dusty conditions — sunglasses and a face covering can help. During the rainy season (November–March), the trails may be muddy but still accessible. Don’t forget your camera — both Moray and Maras offer spectacular photo opportunities.
