Tour Description

The tour begins with an early hotel pick-up in Cusco between 4:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m., followed by a scenic drive of approximately 3 hours to the village of Cusipata, where you’ll enjoy a nutritious Andean breakfast.

After breakfast, we continue for about one more hour by vehicle to the trailhead at Llacto or Phulawasipata (approx. 4,600 m / 15,092 ft). Here, your guide will give you a safety briefing before beginning the trek.

The hike to the Rainbow Mountain takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Along the way, you’ll admire sweeping views of snowcapped peaks, red valleys, and herds of alpacas and llamas. Upon reaching the summit (5,036 m / 16,522 ft), you’ll have time to rest, enjoy the stunning scenery, and take unforgettable photos.

After the descent, we return to Cusipata for a well-deserved lunch. Finally, we drive back to Cusco, arriving around 4:30 to 5:00 p.m., with hotel drop-off included.
