This journey blends history, nature, and culture in one adventure. The Huchuy Qosqo trek is a lesser-known route that connects the highlands of Cusco with the Sacred Valley, offering panoramic views, high-Andean lagoons, and well-preserved Inca remains. The trip concludes with a visit to Machu Picchu, the most famous Inca citadel in the world. It’s an excellent alternative for those seeking a unique experience away from traditional routes, with an exclusive touch.

DAY 1: CUSCO – TAMBOMACHAY – PUCAMARCA
Pick-up from your hotel in Cusco and transfer to Tambomachay (3,750 m.a.s.l.), where the trek begins. We will follow original Inca trails surrounded by mountains and small lagoons until reaching the community of Pucamarca, where we set up camp and enjoy dinner.
DAY 2: PUCAMARCA – HUCHUY QOSQO – OLLANTAYTAMBO – AGUAS CALIENTES
After breakfast, we descend towards the León Punku canyon, an impressive natural pass with Inca archaeological remains. We arrive at Huchuy Qosqo (“Little Cusco”), a complex with terraces, storehouses, and temples. After the guided visit, we descend to Lamay and transfer by vehicle to Ollantaytambo, where we board the train to Aguas Calientes. Overnight in a hotel.
DAY 3: MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
Early in the morning, we take the bus to Machu Picchu for a 2-hour guided tour of its main sectors: temples, plazas, terraces, and viewpoints. Then, free time to explore on your own or hike Huayna Picchu/Machu Picchu Mountain (optional, with prior ticket). Finally, return by train to Ollantaytambo and transfer back to Cusco.
