The Humantay Lagoon Day Tour is a breathtaking adventure to one of the most stunning turquoise lakes in the Peruvian Andes. Nestled at the base of the mighty Salkantay Mountain, this hidden gem sits at over 4,200 meters (13,800 ft) and rewards visitors with crystal-clear glacial waters, dramatic mountain views, and a deep connection to nature. Ideal for nature lovers and hikers looking for a challenging but unforgettable experience in a single day.

The day begins early with pickup from your hotel in Cusco around 4:30 a.m., followed by a scenic drive of approximately 3 hours to the village of Mollepata, where we enjoy a delicious Andean breakfast.
Afterward, we continue to Soraypampa (3,900 m / 12,800 ft), the starting point of our trek. From here, the hike to the lagoon takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, ascending through stunning landscapes until we reach the breathtaking Humantay Lagoon. You’ll have free time to take photos, enjoy the view, and participate in a traditional offering to the mountain spirits (Apus), if desired.
After exploring and relaxing at the lagoon, we descend to Soraypampa and return to Mollepata for a well-earned buffet lunch. We then head back to Cusco, arriving around 6:00 p.m., and drop you off at your hotel.
