Day 1: Cusco – Aguas Calientes
Pick-up from your hotel in Cusco and transfer in private transportation to the train station (Ollantaytambo or Poroy, depending on availability). During the train ride, enjoy breathtaking views of Andean landscapes, rivers, and mountains.
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, your guide will escort you to your reserved hotel. The afternoon is free to stroll through town, visit the hot springs, or explore the local handicraft market. Dinner and overnight stay in Aguas Calientes.
Day 2: Machu Picchu – Cusco
Early in the morning, take the bus to the entrance of Machu Picchu. Enjoy a guided tour of approximately 2 hours, visiting the main temples, plazas, and terraces, while your guide shares the history and mysteries of the sacred city.
After the tour, you’ll have free time to explore on your own or hike Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (advance reservation required). Return by bus to Aguas Calientes to board the train back to Ollantaytambo, followed by private transport to Cusco, arriving in the evening.
