This two-day adventure to the Colca Canyon is ideal for travelers who want to explore the majestic Andean landscapes at a slower pace, enjoy spectacular views, and connect with local culture. You’ll witness the majestic flight of the Andean condor, visit picturesque villages, soak in natural hot springs, and spend the night in the charming town of Chivay or Yanque.
Unlike the full-day tour, this experience allows for more stops, photo opportunities, and time to enjoy the thermal waters of La Calera. You’ll also have the chance to appreciate more deeply the rural lifestyle of the Colca Valley’s indigenous communities.

07:30 to 08:00 AM – Pick-up from your hotel in Arequipa. We begin our journey across the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, home to wild vicuñas and alpacas.
We make scenic stops at Pampa Cañahuas, Tocra Pampa (wetlands with Andean birds), and the Patapampa viewpoint (4,910 m.a.s.l.) where you’ll see snowcapped volcanoes like Ampato and Sabancaya.
Arrival in Chivay around midday. Accommodation check-in at your chosen hotel.
Afternoon visit to the La Calera hot springs for a relaxing bath (optional).
Return to the hotel and dinner in the town. Free evening to rest or walk around Chivay.
Early breakfast and departure to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, the highlight of the tour. Here you’ll admire the depth of the canyon and the Andean condors gliding above the cliffs.
On the way back to Chivay, we stop at small towns like Pinchollo, Macay, and Yanque, where you’ll see colonial churches, traditional dances, and local markets.
Lunch in Chivay (optional, buffet-style).
Return to Arequipa in the afternoon, arriving between 17:00 and 18:00 hrs.
